Following the results, TV host Holly Willoughby told Lou: “That’s a big improvement in your score from last week, you’ve been working very hard this week,” to which Lou replied: “Inconsistently bad.”
Oti Mabuse justified her score by saying: “I know the scores are low but you have improved from last week – it’s just little things you need to work on, your posture, taking your shoulders back but still leaning forward.
“It’s just little things but you are what the show is about.
“You are about starting not so great but getting better throughout the weeks, so don’t give up, you are brilliant and you can do it.”
Lou responded: “I’m good when no ones watching.”
While Christopher Dean provided some constructive feedback and said: “I think when you’re landing the lifts, you’ve got to concentrate on the core and find the ice and stand up and be strong and you’ll be positive then.
“And on the crossovers, make sure they crossover.
“But it was an improvement, we’re getting better and that’s where we want to go.”
But some fans were not happy with the low scores.
While others said contestant Claire Sweeney had been overmarked after scoring a total of 24 points.
One angry fumed: “These scores for Lou are f****** ridiculous. She’s the only of the girlies who’s actually skating solo and they’re giving her dog s*** scores because she doesn’t have a sob story.”
A second posted: “BUT THEY GAVE CLAIRE SWEENEY 6’s WHEN SHE JUST HELD ON TO HER PARTNER THE WHOLE ROUTINE?! Why do the judges keep giving Lou such low scores?”
A third said: “Why is Lou’s scores lower than Claires? She’s way better!”
“Lou was so much better than Claire Sweeney how can her scores be lower,” this viewer echoed.
Another agreed: “Boo to the judges indeed!! Harsh scores for Lou!”
